The
Ollie |
1. |
Place
your back foot on the tail and your front foot in the middle of the
board. |
2. |
Give
the tail an almighty pop as you |
3. |
jump
up as high as you can. At the same time you |
4. |
slide
your front foot up. |
5. |
It
is very important to do step 2, 3 and 4 at the exact same time. |
6. |
The
main problem I had when trying to do them while moving was that I
didn't really pop the board, so if you are having trouble, maybe
that's it. |
|
The
Kickflip |
(Note:
the kickflip is VERY HARD to learn. but once you get it, it is very
easy to do.) |
1. |
Put
your feet in the ollie position, except your front foot is on the
edge of the board. |
2. |
Make
sure you pop and jump at the same time. |
3. |
Half
a second after you pop, kick down, as you do this, jump. |
4. |
If
you kicked it hard enough, it will do a flip. |
5. |
Try
to make it a reflex that as soon as you see the black of the
griptape, slam your feet down. |
|
The
Heelflip |
1. |
After
a kickflip is mastered, heelflips are the exact same, except you
kick the other way. |
|
Frontside
Pop-shove It |
1. |
Have
your feet in the ollie pose. |
2. |
Do
an ollie, except when you hear the pop, kick out rather than down. |
3. |
Jump
up, learning to jump with your back foot is what took me longest to
learn. |
4. |
Learn
coordination and hit the griptape with your feet. |
